Survey reports can be downloaded

The reports (6 volumes) of archaeological surveys in Sri Lanka conducted by the NPO-SARERS (South Asian Ruins Exploration  and Research Society) and the Hosei University Exploration Club can be downloaded free of charge.

Although we have not abandoned the copyright, the purpose of the free release is to make it useful for academic research, future field surveys, and educational activities for the protection of archaeological sites, so you can freely quote them. However, please note the following:

  1. Credit notation:  When quoting the contents of these reports for printed matter, electronic publications, online articles, etc., be sure to specify the source (editor name and title, year of publication, etc.). The same applies when you copy sentences, photos, illustrations, etc. individually and use them on SNS.
  2. Unauthorized citation: If we see an article or post that is used without credit, the author or contributor may be protested and prohibited from further quoting. Also, if you notice any cases where these are cited without credit in publications or online, please let us know at the following.
